Height in Art is an interactive experience that measures your height using your device's camera and assembles a stack of objects from The Metropolitan Museum of Art whose heights together equal yours.
Stand in front of the camera and make the gesture — sweep one arm in a full circle from your side, up above your head, and back down — to trigger a measurement. The app uses machine learning (MoveNet via ml5.js) to detect your body position and calculate your height from the pose.
A set of Met collection objects whose heights sum to yours is then selected at random and displayed beside you. Scan the QR code or visit the link to learn more about each object.
